At the 19th Annual Planetary Liberation Day Symposium, hosted by the Etherean Mission International in Accra on 19 September 2026 under the theme "Growing the Empowered Child", Abubakar Issaka spoke on cyberbullying and children's online safety.

Speaking to NewsGhana, he called for Ghana's cyber protection framework to be reviewed and strengthened so that children are better protected online. He also raised concerns about children using institutional laptops and tablets to reach unapproved websites, and recommended parental-control tools such as Google Family Link, stressing that monitoring works best when it is paired with education and guidance at home.
